Riplling Satin/Silk fabric
Hey All!
I’m trying to get an effect where a digitally created satin/silk piece of fabric ripples as if being blown by a fan. There are a couple of problems.
The first being that I can’t seem to replicate the sheen of the fabirc that I’ve created in Photoshop in AE using the AE set of tools (Solarize for instance doesn’t exist in AE as far as I know..)
The second is if I could replicate that effect, I need the highlight of the folded material to look shiny as the folds move with whatever displacement map I use (ok I guess this is really the same problem… 🙂 )
I ‘m wondering what tool to use that would proerly displace the layer with the fabric pattern, and is there one that I can set to emulate the fabric type that I’m trying to get?
The process I’m using is a hold bunch of Photoshop porcesses that eventuall turn out a nice looking sheeny satin/ilk looking piece of material. I have little flower prints on it too that adds to the realism, so I would need to distort the pattern appropriately to pull it off.
Any help will be greatly appreciated, I’ve arely benn let down coming to the Cow for advice!
Cheers,
Marc
