Riot Gear Ink Flow
Posted by Ken Calcaterra on April 4, 2008 at 3:50 pmNew to AE. Purchased Riot Gear and Evolution and it’s been a lot of fun. Unable to figure out how to add color to the ink flow. Please advise.

April 4, 2008 at 4:30 pmI am sure there are other that know of better/different ways. But I believe you can use the HUE/SATURATION effect under COLOR CORRECTION. Be sure check the box at the bottom that says COLORIZE. Once you do this you should see some color right away. Above that COLORIZE check box there is a COLORIZE SATURATION and COLORIZE HUE, adjust the hue to the color you want and saturate to taste. I hope this helps!

April 4, 2008 at 5:58 pmyou could also create a layer or a composition with a nice ramp or some more advances color gradients and vignets and set it’s track mat to Luma Map of the inc flow footage.
In case you don’t know how to do it here’s a little tutorial:
create a solid, apply Ramp effect to it, set appropriate colors. then drag inc flow footage above it, press F4 to reveal bending and map options and set mat to Luma Matte.
You can again, use a composition instead of a solid and crate a composition of several gradients and vignets there.
