Is there a way to create a ring of fire around an actor?
not just a ring rising from the floor
but the ring being created from the start all around the actor

Sure, but you’ll need to create a mask in another app and “cut out” the actor, or use a blocker to make the flames appear to go behind them.

ok lets say i cut him using masks or even shoot infront of a green screen and key him out
then what can u describe the proces in PI pls -
Depending on the visual depth, you’ll need a few copies of the flame emitter. The one in front needs to be zoomed larger, the one in back is zoomed smaller, and the sides are somewhere in between.

It sounds like alot of work for something like that
maybe im not in the right way what do u think is the best way to do that its a common effect on TV
what do u think PI or AE or other?
