hi- i have to animate some jpegs and tiffs for a video, but the picture quality im getting is not good enough since it has to go on a plasma screen. the pictures’ resolution is good enough ( 300 dpi ) so there must be something wrong with the formats and settings im using. could anyone direct me as to which format the pictures should be in ( tiff, png etc. ) and which are the best sequence and export settings? i would really appreciate the advice, kind of desperate and short of time!
    thank you, good cow folks

What resolution is your plasma screen? Many times, when going to a plasma or lcd monitor, the best results can be obtained from using the “native” resolution of the plasma….such as 1024 x 768, etc. Also, is the plasma running 720p or 1080i? All this information is needed to get an ideal resolution.

Make sure that you render all of your still clips in the timeline. Often when you animate them, FCP will attempt to play them back in realtime but at a lower resolution. Everything will look fuzzy. Select the clips and force them to render and things should look better.
    Just a thought…

    Fernando,

First of all, you probably are not rendering properly nor are you monitoring your rendered effects properly.

    First read this:

What should you learn from that article?
