  • right screen during edit only shows video playback

I am editing a video using Premiere Pro 1.5.1 and during the edit my right screen of a dual display shows video playback and not the edit information. Oddly, when I am using Adobe Encore 1.5 the same thing happens. I can not find anywhere in the manual to defeat this. It seems that the right screen is functioning as if it were a third monitor for composite video playback. How can I go back to dual screens for editing?

Or, it could be a setting in your video card software that automatically plays video full screen, most likely a default setting if you are using a laptop with VGA / DVI output. On my card, it’s called Overlay Zoom.

Thanks, but that was the first thing I tried and didn’t help.

This does help. I went into the control panel and found the video display adjust. It is better. I still get the full screen play back on the right screen when I am digitizing, but when editing it goes back to normal. The same thing in Adobe Encore. When I preview the project the right screen goes to full screen, but when I end the preview the screen goes back to normal.

    Thanks,

    Terry
