    Hey,
I want to make the current effect.
Create a carriage in Cinema 4D and position myself in it while my image is in 3d (rotates in 3d world)
I want to have a 3d “implementation” of me. Meaning shooting a video of myself from common angles (the camera will rotate around me), apply 3D tracking and rotoscope myslef.
This way I’ll have a bank of me in 3D space.

Is there a way I can link the 3d tracking data (images) to the carriage and camera settings, so my 3d position in space will look realistic?

    Thanks
    Elad

ps: I know this is not entirely AE question, but maybe there’s an expression that can help with that

The only thing I recommend is to record yourself in front of a green screen and rotate the camera around you. Then key it out and match the camera moves either in AE or Cinema 4D. An even better solution would be to place track points to use a 3d tracker to copy the camera moves.

This is exactly what I meant to do.
The problem is the carriage should be moving
So I have extra 3D to deal with
I thought of having an expression to substract the carriage orientation against the camera orientation and then choose the appropriate 3d position of me, I just don’t know how to do that

    Thanks

There’s probably a way to use expressions to measure the camera displacement from a centre point and use that measure to pick which camera shot to use. But…I wouldn’t have a clue how to write an expression that complex and it might be quicker just to do it by eye.

I think in Building a 3D World, they do something similar to what you want, they might have an answer in that AE tutorial.
