RGB curves plugin?
Posted by Annaël Beauchemin on August 16, 2005 at 8:05 pmdoes anyone know a graphical R/G/B/master curves plugin which resides in a tab (and not in a modal window or host application). Preferably with RT.
I’ve searched a bit on google, but suprisingly I could not find anything usefull…

August 17, 2005 at 1:19 amI downloaded the demo, and yes, it’s quite what I want. But I was searching for something fully graphic with multi-points tuning and maybe an eye dropper with RGB values. A bit like what you have on Avid, combustion, etc.

yes i’ve downloaded their demo… while it has the features I want (and then some more), it’s really counter-productive to have to work in an external application and loose the ability to scroll or change clip. And then the price is really too high…

I wonder how they made the color corrector. It looks like a FX script, but maybe they “hacked” FCP for the GUI controls?
I’ve found “Super RGB Levels” which is what I want, but it’s a bit clunky… this one is an AE plugin.
Out of curiosity, how hard is it to develop AE plugins? -

August 17, 2005 at 4:45 pmApple can do anything funky they want, but they don’t tell anywone else how. AE plugins work in FCP, but only old style V3 ones, using the old AE SDK, and compiled in Code Warrior I think. Writing the algorithm is very easy, but working with the API can be tricky.
