I have a commercial, shot in 23.976 that’s going out to broadcast in 29.97. I have followed settings from other posts, testing with both After Effects and Compressor to get my final file.

I followed Dave LaRonde’s settings in AE from this post: https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/8/1112377

    Compressor settings (1st post): https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/8/1070377

As expected, I notice the interpolation on my computer screen. Watching on an HDTV also displayed the same interpolation I see on my computer screen. I’m supposed to review on a broadcast monitor but the problem is that I don’t have one.

I’m concerned about the interpolation I see and would like to make sure that there won’t be any problems when I send it to DG for broadcast. Am I pretty much out of luck without a monitor? Are these the right settings I should be following?

An HDTV will work fine. You just need an IO device to feed it a proper signal. Direct connection to the computer won’t work.
