Reverting a 11 project file back to 10?
Hi, I’m using Sony Vegas Pro 11 and working on a ~50 minute lenght video which uses alot of effects, video tracks and all that, I finally went to render it with DVD settings and it crashes randomly, but I’ve noticed that it happens after 60% somewhere there. I used the exact same settings that I did on Pro 10 and it rendered it without a problem there, but 11 keeps crashing halfway to success. I regret getting 11 and starting the project on it. 🙁
Please tell me there is a way to avoid this crash, I need this video rendered.

Sadly, as you have a lot of FX, there is no easy way back to V10, if at all.
For simple cuts and dissolves, you can export (Save As … EDL Text file) the Vegas project and that will open in V10. Unfortunately any FXs etc. have to be reapplied.

You can easily copy the Vegas 11 timeline into Vegas 10 Dimitar,
and whatever FX etc, isnt copied over you can manually touch those up.Steve Rhoden

try “render to new track”. for each track if using multiple video tracks. that would print the video track with fx. then line the rendered files up in a new vegas 10 project.
p.s. was going to suggest aaf export/import but on trying it i find it only works on 32 bit version, not 64 bit. good to know…edStealth Recording Studio, Glasgow, Scotland UK

Steve gave the answer. It’s very simple, I’ve done it, and it works.
