    Hi all,

Whenever I’ve made a mistake using Split Event, I’ve always used the undo on the edit menu. Is there a way to remove or move an unnecessary split without having to backup several steps?

    Cheers,

    Marcus

Delete the event to the right of the unwanted split and then fill up the hole with the event to the left of the unwanted split.

To expand slightly on Edwards answer (not that it really needs it),
You can drag one of the parts of a split event back out to the original length. Remember we are doing ‘non-destructive’ editing. So say you split event A into events A & B. But for some reason you do not want that split anymore. Select event B and delete it, drag the right edge of event A back over where event B was and you are back to where you began.

    Thanks guys.

What you suggest makes perfect sense. Actually what I was really hoping for is some kind of right-click solution, but nevermind! I’m shooting multicam for the first time and my timeline has splits absolutely everywhere. For the sake of housekeeping, I wanted to remove some of them. Since your solution sounds like a little more work, I won’t worry too much.

    Cheers,

    Marcus

Guess you could always use the “Unsplit” tool in Excalibur!
