I’m having a difficulty with reversing telecine (with Cinema Tools) on one of my clips, and I hope someone can help.

Most all my clips, shot with the Panasonic SDX900 (16×9, 24p regular) digitized and reverse telecined fine. But there is one that gives me problems, whichever way I set the settings – it results with every 4th frame being interlaced.

I read in the CT documentation that this might be “standard upper/lower” issue. It recommends setting this option, but suggested that once in a while, we might have to keep it off. As it turns out, most of my footage looked interlaced with it on, so I tried it with it off. The result was that all my clips, except one, had the correct pulldown. Again, I tried reverse telecine with all different kinds of settings, including trying to use batch reverse telecine as well.

The DP says that all the footage was shot with 24p regular, but could a 24p advanced setting on this clip cause this kind of behavior? Any help would be very much appreciated!
