Reverse Frame Order?
Hey everyone,
Here’s my problem: I’ve got footage that I’m trying to have play backward, yet sync frame to frame with the same piece of footage playing forward. The dilemma is this: when I simply got to Modify > Speed > Reverse, the clip BEGINS with the last frame of the clip and plays backward toward the first frame, while the other clip plays from the first frame on normally. Since they need to match frame to frame, I’m assuming that I need to actually reverse the ORDER of the frames, not just the play direction. Is there any tool / function in Final Cut to do this, or perhaps a plugin or 3rd party app? Is there a way in Final Cut to break apart my HDV footage into individual frames and manually re-order them?

Please explain. You want it to play backwards which is what Modify > Speed > Reverse does but somehow sync to the same clip playing forward. That makes absolutely no sense to me. It can only be running in reverse if it starts at the end and plays to the beginning.
Perhaps you need to define what you actually mean by playing in reverse.
