    When you use a Cloth tag to animate a plane with another object there is an impact of the objects and the plane for example animate around the object with the Collider tag. How do you reverse this? I’m usig a Plane with a video clip and want to make it look like the video clip comes out of something on the screen. I have been trying things and the only way I can achieve something similar to what I want is to render out and animation on reverse it in FCP timeline.

    In Cinema you could bake the animation and then use a time track to reverse it.

    I have baked the animation and tried to Time ReMap but not sure what I’m doing wrong?
    I originally tried to add a ‘Time Track’ in the Animation timeline but there isn’t anything there to add a Timer Track to so I tried the MoDynamics Playback time option.

    Here’s the steps:

    1. Drag the cloth/plane into the timeline;
    2. With the plane selected in the TL, run Functions>Bake Object;
    3. Make sure PLA and expressions are checked and hit Okay;

    That should bake your cloth animation to PLA keyframes.

    4. Right-click on the Plane in the TL and select, Add special tracks>Time Track;
    5. Invert the Time track key values;
    6. Click on the plane object’s PLA track and you’ll see in attributes manager that there’s a link box for a time track. Drag the time track you created into that box and you should be good to go.

    Hi

    Couldn’t download your file you sent.

    I have followed and have all the right things in place but just can’t seem to get it to reverse? Also when I bake the keyframes C4D makes a copy of the Plane is that right?

    Here’s my project.

    The problem is that you assigned the time track to your original, non-baked plane instead of to the baked plane.

    I have now got there in the end. The problem was that in your instructions you didn’t mention that I had to apply the Time Track to the PLA keyframes thats where the confusion was. After your last post that kind of cleared things up.
    Many thanks for your help on this its something I didn’t know C4D cold do.

    Kind Regards,

    Marc
