    Hi

I’m trying to do the following effect: like this video for example: (between 8 and 12 seconds)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqGSjB3x0nk

But I want instead to reveal text when a car passes…then Hide the text when another car passes

I tried to figure out how to do it with masks…I created a sequence in after effects,
-put the video as the bottom layer.
    -Added text above
    -duplicated my video
-placed on top of the text layer
-masked the area where the action happens

The effect works but the text gets hidden all at once (without a revealing effect)

    questions:

any idea how to do it?

should I add single letters and add opacity key-frames to hide/reveal ?

I would be very appreciative for your support

    Regards
    Anthony

    Dave!
Thanks for not helping me 😀 hehe

I figured it out! I added key-frames for the Mask Path

I really appreciate your advice (Better to think it through so the learning sticks rather than be told… especially when you’re so close.)

    Regards,
    Anthony
