revealing text with lines….
Hello, I am trying to create a text effect like this one at the beginning: https://vimeo.com/204256424
(The way the numbers animate on)… I’m sure it’s relatively simple, but I can’t work it out and I can’t work out what to search for!

There are two different things that happen. For the first one you need to draw the (blue) lines and use a stroke with keyframed trim paths to draw the letters in and out. The scond partgoes very fast, but it looks like the shapes of the (white) letters have been expanded into shapes for the final results and then animated backwards from there to give them life and change shape along the “write-on”. About half-way through the letters are fatter so that they look like they settle in the final shapes.
