Hey, I’d really like to know how to, starting from a black screen, reveal a white ring in a circular motion, as though the ring is being drawn. I’ve created a white solid with an elliptical mask to create a circle then duplicated the mask, set the blending mode of the mask to subtract and the mask expansion to -25, giving me a nice, white ring with black inside and outside. I’m a bit clueless as to how to reveal it, although I’m presuming you use mask shape keyframes? I’ve tried to copy my first mask on to a black solid and change the shape of it but creating a circular motion using that method seems really inaccurate. Any help’d be appreciated, thanks!

    Use the Write On effect.

Or radial wipe. Depending on if you want the edges to be straight or curved.
