  • Reveal Multiple Files?

Hello I have a project where an assistant digitized several episodes into one project. I have now split up the clips in the project file to be independent of one another, however at the finder level the clips are spread across multiple drives…the clips are in bins by tape name. Is there an easy way to reveal multiple files so i don’t have to do one at a time, as I want to seperate the clips at the finder level by episode and put them each in their own folder…hopefully this makes sense!

    Thanks in advance!

Not that I know of. If you reveal one file, it should show you a bunch of others that might be in the same folder.

Also…if they were named properly when captured, you can just look for them on the the hard drives and move them where you want, then reconnect in FCP.

I’m not sure if this will help, but FCP’s browser can show a column called “Source”. Essentially, that column shows the directory path for each clip, and you can sort by that column.

thanks for the response, I did end up using the source column and that made it much easier to separate everything…thanks!
