hi there – just wondering if there is a function to reveal a clip in the timeline from the browser. So basically I’ve got a project with lots and lots of captured clips, I know that maybe half of them are used. I want to be able to go through the browser and find which clips are used and which aren’t.
Sort of like in AE where there is the “reveal in composition” option

    Thanks!

Try clicking in the browser and hitting CMD-F (Find). You can search for used or unused files in selected sequences or all. Hope that helps.

Yeah, you can search for unused, which is probably faster than manually going clip by clip. But try shift-f from the browser and see if that does what you want. I think that’s the command (I can never remember for sure when I’m not sitting right in front an open project).

Select all the clips in your sequence and got to the Modify menu/Label and label all the clips a color of your chose. Look through your bins and you will see the clips you have used with the same color.

    hey homer (duffbeer)

frankly i drink bear whizz beer myself

but seriously, If you make a color label for the clip in your bin, it will add a color label to the clip in your sequence. depending on the size of the sequence and how far out you have to zoom the timeline and still see the clips, you can then spot the clip with the color label pretty easy
