  Retime bug

  The Apple discussions forum brought up a real bug in the retime tool. If you select a section of a clip, retime to say 400 per cent, the rest of the non retimed video plays at the sped up speed, but for some strange reason, the clip stays the same length. Seems to do it both before and after the retime. I found a workaround. After you’ve sped up the middle of your clip, select a new range from the beginning to just before the speed change. Make that Normal in the retime menu. Then start just after the sped up footage a new range from there to then end and make that Normal again. Seems to work.
