When you record on an iPhone long ways it creates a .MOV file that is a certain pixel size. I’m trying to edit a video but want to retain the size of the original clip, if I don’t it creates huge black sides where the video doesn’t reach. I know you can un-click ‘maintain aspect ratio’ but that stretches the videos and causes distortion.

    Please help!

    Many thanks, Ben.

Think about what you’ve done in realtion to a real video camera. You’ve tilted the camera 90 degrees on it’s side. I would therefore go into the Project Properties and set the Output Rotation to be 90 clockwise. That will allow ou to edit the rotated video. You will also need to create a custom render template to maintain those rotated dimensions.
