Hi we’re working with lower thirds that need to be exported from Adobe After effects to bring into Avid Media composer seamlessly. Is there a way to retain the alpha on a lower third created in after effects to go into Avid without having to transcode? It looks like adobe encoder cc2019 maybe the answer but we can’t figure out how to create an mxf op1a with the retained alpha channel so we won’t have to transcode when bringing to avid.

I’m not sure that op1a even supports alpha channels. DNxHD does so you should try that.
