    Hi,

I’m using the random effector to distribute a bunch of clones but I’m trying to set it up so that the clones (cubes 10cm x 10 x 10) don’t overlap – how can I restrict the random effector so that it randomly places clones in increments of 10cm?

    Thanks for any help

You’ll have to use MoDynamics if you want collision detection.

    Hi

that won’t work for me since my clones are not cubes ie. they’d overlap. So is it not possible to get the random effector to randomly distribute clones as 10cm, 20cm, 30cm etc?

    Thanks very much.

It’s possible, of course, but since it’s random you will get intersections absent MoDynamics, which works with objects other than cubes, btw.
