    I just got a new (used) HVX200 and would like to restore factory settings. I couldn’t find anything in the user guide, but I Googled and found something about pressing the “Reset” button with a paperclip (which I’ve done), but then to also go to the user menu and select “INIT”. Is this the procedure and if so, is a “user menu” the same as the “menu” and, if so, where would I find “INIT”?

    THANK YOU!

    Kelly,

    I just got 2 HVX200s (used) and have had the same question. There is a “RESTORE” button but the book says it does not reset to factory.

    Hoping that someone might see and answer this one.

    THANKS!

    james =)

    Yo James… I found it.

    Select INITIAL in USER FILE of the OTHER FUNCTIONS screen.

    You have to do the scene files individually. Turn the Scene File dial to 1, then in the SCENE FILE screen, SAVE/INT, select INITIAL. Then just do the same with the other five.
