seems like there was a way in previous ae to restore defaults to memory and cache settings after monkeying around with them when troubleshooting. anyone know if it’s still available in cs4/ae9?

i think this still works on cs4:

mac: hold shif+option+command and open after effects

pc: hold shift+alt+ctrl and open after effects

then just click ok to create a new pref file.

if not, just locate the pref file and move it to the desktop then restart ae. on mac it is in users/username/library/adobe/after effects/versionnnumber. it’s called something like ‘adobe after effects 9.0 prefs’
