  • Restore a parameter’s presets in RED?

Posted by Mark Adamcik on November 12, 2007 at 8:57 pm

1: Is there a keystroke (ex. Alt+?) to restore a parameter value – individually or as a group, after adjustments, to it’s preset value?
2: Is there a way to step-through a parameter setting – say, 10 units at a time (ex. move 10 units on the Y axis), rather than having to enter real numbers?
3: Is there any sort of listing of these sort of tips/tricks/shortcuts?
    I’m using RED3 and BCC4.
    Thanks.

    1. Select the parameter in the Timeline window (Toggle Smart View to see adjusted parameters) and press CTRL+R or right click and choose Reset Parameter. This will remove keyframes and set the value to default

    2. Click in the value field for the parameter you want to adjust (Position Y) and hold Shift to increment by 10 using the up/down arrows or the mouse scroll wheel. You can also increment by .1 if you hold CTRL and use the mouse scroll wheel.

    3. I’m trying to find a listing and will report back later on this one.
