Resolve/Premiere/After Effects Workflow Using XML Roundtrip?
I’m going into post with some stuff, and i’m trying to nail down a Premiere>Ae>Resolve workflow. Dynamic link between Pr and Ae works as it should, but any clips in Premiere that were replaced via dynamic link to Ae don’t have source files, so they aren’t translated to the XML when opened in Resolve.
I feel like actually exporting the shots from Ae and bringing them back into Pr on top of the linked files is a clumsy way of doing it, and would create way more data than necessary.
I also don’t really think going to Ae after the grade in Resolve would be a viable option, because of any comped in elements would then be over top of the grade and any stylistic effects such as light leaks/film grain/etc.
Any solutions? Am I missing something simple here?
