Resolve Training
Posted by Steve Strickler on January 13, 2011 at 1:56 pmI am finding a brain-cramp moving from Color to Resolve. Any training materials out there yet? Is the fxPhd course(s) adequate/helpful? I understand grading and color, but just don’t know the mechanics/procedures of Resolve yet.
Thanks.Illya Laney replied 15 years, 4 months ago 4 Members · 7 Replies -

January 13, 2011 at 2:41 pmI just signed up for this term at fxphd – courses have not been released yet as they stagger them the first week to control bandwidth but I can let you know how they are.
I can watch the first 2 classes for everything before choosing my courses for the term but as of yet neither of the davinci classes have anything out yet. I am also wondering if the Storm class is really worth taking if i dont do a ton of on set tech RED work. Trying to figure out for an AE / editor / colorist such as myself what is the most value for me as I am just learning cs5 now and not ready for 200 level courses on that or C4D.

January 13, 2011 at 5:43 pmI did the last DAV101 course, Storm 101 and Smoke 101 and they are all …basic.
If you can grade and want to learn DaVinci effectively, go to Hamburg and sign up for Stuart Blake Jones real training.A slice of color…

January 13, 2011 at 11:47 pmMocha Pro or Paint and Roto. I end up doing a lot of clean up as well as color grading when I work on spots. Sometimes balancing the post classes with a production class is good and they have a lighting course this semester.
