July 31, 2010 at 10:48 pmYeah, but it requires you to sign up for $399 worth of training first, and then the additional $100 for the DaVinci 2K training..

Not true. Maybe you’re confusing Resolve with the 2K because they’re not using the Impresario panel.
To put things in perspective, I have a friend who paid $80,000 for a University with post training(VFX, Color Grading on a 2K, Editing, etc.) and she learned more in 11 weeks online with Creative Cow and FXPHD than she ever did at the University. Trade schools in California charge $800 to $1200 just for Apple certified Color training, and that’s only for three days of classes. I’d gladly pay Creative Cow a few hundred dollars for a high quality and in depth course for Resolve.

However, it still costs a minimum of $499 for the DaVinci course. $399 base price for three courses, and then $100 for each course you pick from the vault, where you fid the DaVinci course.
Just wanted to mention (or correct) the total minimum cost. I’m not taking any courses at FXPHD – by reading the post I replied to, it would seem as he’s taking courses there though.

August 2, 2010 at 6:59 amI thought I recognized your name. Killer class by the way. I’d take a hands on course, but my work schedule’s a bit too hectic for a trip to Singapore. Is there a chance ICA will have training in Socal in the near future?

August 8, 2010 at 3:12 pmAre you sure about that? Have you actually seen the tutorials? In the video he says it doesn’t have auto tracking features for instance. And the interface doesn’t look anything like the Resolve we’re soon going to enjoy.

August 9, 2010 at 6:54 amSo you must have looked at the old overview video. First off, that interface looks like an old version of Shake, and second, that’s Warren Eagles probably teaching an old 2K class. da Vinci 2K interface…

August 9, 2010 at 8:43 amAh I see.. My bad! I see the in the course list now they say DAV 210 instead of the old DAV201. At a glance the 1 and the 0 mentally switched places.
Cash out people! 🙂
