    Hello
Lately I have been experiencing a warning of “Resolve is running low on memory” If I say Ok enough times it eventually crashes. I use to be able to load 2 or 3 hours of footage with some rough grades and no problem.
I have now experienced this with a 60 second spot with only the selects imported in. I am now experiencing it on a 48 minute show with only the selects which are cut to fit. The show is all prores 422. I am running 8.2 and cannot bump up to 9 yet. I have 2 Quadro 4000’s and a red rocket card. Running on a 2011 Mac pro with 24 gbs of ram.
Any suggestions or any thing that would help would be appreciated.

This error was common in V8 if you had a big project. for feature films if you didn’t split reels/sequences in different projcets it was “out of memory” all the time. But in V9, I am handleing same big projects and even bigger ones and there is no more problems!

Are you running V8 or V9?

Do to the nature of Resolve being a 32 bit application, there is nothing you can do.
You need to get 9 to use more RAM
Or work in proxies if you raid allowed DPX playback

    A slice of color…
