I have performance issues with Mac pro+cubix. Mac pro is running ATI Radeon HD 5770 as GUI Card and Cubix has 3 – NVIDIA Geforce GTX 680. I am trying to play red 5k File on a 2k DCI timeline from a regulad 7200 rpm hard drive. There is Decklink connected to the FSI monitor as well and second diskplay on Gui for scopes. I get around 4-7 frames in full resolution, this is slightly faster I was getting on my home i7 PC with just one video card, is it fine to get playback as poor as this one? so if this is the case, rocket card is a must then.

What are the RED RAW settings? Full Res?
With your system 1/4th res should play fine.

You’ll need two red rocket cards for real time full res debayer of 5k r3d. Or one rocket X. Multiple cuda gpu r3d debayer is coming from red. They already have multiple gpu opencl debayer in redcine x v22
But right now in resolve its all CPU and even with a 12core Mac Pro 5k is 1/4 res real time.
