October 2, 2010 at 6:43 pmI’m hitting 2k dpx frames.. I am getting 24fps locked green on my old 2008.
10 bit no proxies I’m getting 21 to 22 fps.
10 bit in ofp mode and I’m getting 24fps locked green
enable 8 bit 24fps locked green. The 08 is working for me, that is until I can justify the cost of a second resolve.

October 2, 2010 at 8:04 pmMy understanding is, it’s just converting to 8-bit for output via the Decklink card, regardless of input format. 10-bit footage still comes in as 10-bit and is processed in Resolve’s 32-bit YRGB float space.
Basically, switching to 8-bit output is just reducing the bandwidth necessary to move the processed frames across the system bus from the GTX285 or FX4800 to the Decklink by 20%.

October 4, 2010 at 10:21 amWe get about 350MB/sec read and 300MB/sec writes. It’s 12x500GB Western Digital RE2 drives, RAID5.

October 5, 2010 at 1:27 amHi Gabriele,
Resolve 7.0.2 works with a certified 2008 Mac Pro for SD and HD in real time and full quality. When working in HD, set the “Video bit depth” to “8 bit” in the Video Monitoring preferences of the Configuration screen. This has no impact on render or tape quality and all SDI I/O is at full bit depth quality.
The certified 2008 Mac Pro configurations are:
• Early 2008, Two 2.8GHz Quad Core
• Early 2008, Two 3.0GHz Quad Core
• Early 2008, Two 3.2GHz Quad CoreOperating System: Mac OS X 10.6.4
Optical Drive: 1 x SuperDrive
RAM: 8 GB or moreThis info will very soon be published in an updated Resolve for Mac Configuration Guide.
Regards,
Luke Maslen
