I am planning to build on-set iMac resolve system for review of HD material and light grading. footage will be mainly PRoRes HQ

I would like to have a similar setup to the MacPro
2 monitors, option to connect eSATA drives or FW800 and client monitor.

Does anyone has experience using Resolve on iMac? Does the UltraStudio Express works as well as the UltraStudio 3D (was this model discontinued?) or do I need to get the UltraStudio 4K?

Anyone is using any Thunderbolt expansion boxes with resolve and iMac for additional graphics cards or esata/FW cards?

    Hi Ronen.
I am using iMac 27 loaded with 16gb ram.
BM 3d box (not sure where it went on the current lineup of products).

I have cinema display as a second computer monitor.
Tektronix scope and FSI precision monitor.

    Storage is thunderbolt LaCie 6T.

No problem coloring and even running symphony.

I never tried or think it will be good enough to do outputs to tape.

For anything else it works great.

You can always come by and check it out.
