We are cutting in avid and want to try some different looks however the colour corrector in Avid is limited.
I have been testing looks in resolve and then generating a 3d LUT which I can import into avid.
This way we can experiment in the cut with a colour lut effect and not have to retranscode media.
Its purely for offline edit work.

The only problem is that the black and white points are not matching.
I think its because the LUT coming from resolve is in a RGB space and my avid pictures are rec709. I have tested the path with some pluge and I think thats whats happening.
Is there a way to compensate? I am a bit of a newbie to resolve.

    Thanks in advance.

you could switch your avid project over to rgb and see if that helps
