    I just upgraded from Resolve 12.3 to 12.5. Just five minutes later when I went to to my timeline lots of my clips were gagging and lagging. My super duper MacPro’s fan went ballistic and went on high speed and my MacBook Pro got really hot So I tried something. I cut out a part of my timeline that was lagging, replaced it with non-lagging footage from the same timeline. Then I deleted the non-lagging footage from that spot. I put back in the footage that had been lagging just 10 seconds before, and it did not lag. But a new section of the timeline now lagged.

    I checked my Mac System and these were the errors I was getting

    I don’t think this is a problem on my end, and only happened with the upgrade. I can’t really edit anything at the moment. Its all gagging. I even shut down my computer, re-booted, and just ran Resolve, no other program at all whatsoever. The same thing happened, the fan sped up, got hot, and these skip trailing zeros messages came in again

    What is this? How do I make it stop!

    What kind of source material are you using? How are the drives rated using BMD’s Speed Test?

    In truth, I don’t think MacBook Pros are ideal for Resolve, but they can work to a point if you’re using HD proxies with a simple format like ProRes 422.

    Thanks, but all my footage was just fine in 12.2. The second I upgraded to 12.5, the instant, the trouble happened. This is a threading issue with Resolve. and the Mac. Am I the only one having this issue? The new update was as of August 11, 2016

    I upgraded my OS to Yosemite 10.10.5 because on the install for the newest version it said I needed to do that. In old version I had mixed 24 fps and 25fps. I converted teh 24 to 25 fps. I then set all my preferences to 25 fps, including the preference for editing to 25 fps as well as the default. I rebooted, restarted, and tried again.

    Someone who is a Resolve engineer needs to look at this and pronto. Its from the new 12.5.1 on August 11. At the end it ask me to look t Bootcamp. This is way bast my my ability to troubleshoot. It says there were excessive wakeups. I don’t know what a wakeup is, but this is ominious sounding –
    observed wakeups rate (per sec): 9063; Maximum permitted wakeups rate (per sec): 150; Observation period: 300 seconds; Task lifetime number of wakeups: 1745136

    Also, I went over to the BlackMagic Forum, and they are talking about NVidia CUDA 2.0 incompatibilities with 12.5. I think I am onto something with this.
