    hi,

we are planning upgrade our linux 4GPU system with newer GPU cards .

at present i am testing with quadro 4000 for gui and 1 titan as gpu card inside the supermicro chasis and find that the titan’s performance is better when compared to my 4gpu quadro plex (tesla cards).
i want to know if anyone has tried similar config on linux???

i am planning to replace the 4*tesla cards in the quadro plex chasis with 2*gtx780ti any ideas or comments.

please feel free to enlighten me.

Do you plan to use temporal processing, open fx plugins or have higher than HD timelines? If so consider Titan has 6GB GPU ram.

4000 for UI and multiple titans is the optimum config.

    hi peter,

we usually have hd and 2k film projects.haven’t started using plugins as i was very skeptical of the stability and as we have fully loaded linux smokes and flames for the stuff.

aren’t the new nvidia Gtx 780ti good as they have almost equal no of cores as titan, faster clock and are unlocked gk110 chipsets though they have 3 gb ram two of them will cost only $300 more than a single titan but will have double the core almost equal the ram as the titan.
    just an idea.
