  • Resolve keeps Dock from appearing

When I use Resolve 12.5 on my MacBook Pro (10.10.5), and I slide the mouse over to the right edge of the monitor (where I keep my Dock), the Dock does not appear. As soon as I make another app the primary one, even if Resolve is still open, the Dock appears as usual.

Is there something I can do to access the Dock from within Resolve?

    Thanks.

It was definitely advertised as a new feature in 12.5 (in windowed mode)
However… I just checked and seems it does not work.

At least you know someone’s working on it…

Though, since so many features are down there… dock would seem terribly in-the-way

Thanks Hector. That is reassuring, actually. I’m new to Resolve and thought that I might have been doing something wrong.

You’re right; it’s no big deal.

If you really need access to the dock, and this happens if you get a Resolve processor halt, and then the feature *really* doesn’t work, open something from the top menus, Date/Time Preferences is my *go-to*, and you can float it over to the side or bottom, whichever, like a life raft.

I do not understand what you mean by “top menus.” Are you referring to Resolve’s drop-downs at the top of the screen, or to the system date/time at the top right? In either case, this is not working for me.

Thank you for trying to help!

I believe he meant the apple menu or the date & time menu (both can lead you out of resolve)

are you maybe in fullscreen mode…that hides everything except the davinci interface…(workspace/layout/fullscreen)…
turn it off…i always have access to the dock providing it is turned on as a pop up…
