Resolve is freaking slow!
Hi everyone,
i’ve a problem. currently i’m working with davinci resolve 9 on a job and for this projects we have tons of dpx files. after many times working well….it is getting really slow.
Rendering is ok, but when i try to put my dpx-files from an external raid in a davinci-bin, i have to wait more than 2-3 minutes!?
this step was really fast on the first shooting days.
and there is also a window with: “DaVinci Resolve Urgent Message The current database has a problem. To continue, you should contact your system administrator to restore the operation of the current database or connect to a different working database. Resolve will close once you click OK…”
So…what can i do?
Reinstall Resolve and import the last project? Or how can i connect to a different working database??? i’ve no idea!
It would be great to get help! It is pretty urgent!

your project is too big
create “part 2” of your project, delete all timelines, footage, etc and continue. -
that was the first step i did! but even in a new project with only one timeline it is a way too slow 🙁
Other ideas? -
make a brand new database. sounds like that one is trashed
