Resolve Dream Color Setup (PLEASE)
Hello,
I have been going crazy all day. Hoping somebody can help.
How do I calibrate the dreamcolor using SMPTE color bars? The saturation etc… Is grayed out.
I currently have a Mac Pro (Late 2013) running davinci Resolve lite. I purchased a dreamcolor monitor. I have a Ultrastudio Mini Monitor coming from my computer via thunderbolt. Then via SDI I connected an HDLink Pro w/ DVI-Digital. From there via DVI I’m going into the DreamColor.
I’m getting a signal out of resolve, which is great. But when I pull up a SMPTE card (I can’t afford the calibration software) I can’t get into the setting of my monitor other than the black levels. So I have no way to calibrate my monitor. Also I chose the rec 709 color space.
How can I get my monitor calibrated and I believe I’m outputting 10-bit RGB from my decklink.
If anybody can shed some light on me, I’d be truly grateful. I have google searched myself absolutely INSANE.

You don’t. Color bars are not how you calibrate a display. Check out the dream color manual it’s got a whole section on how to calibrate it.
