When I try to import an .AAF file into Resolve 10 it appears to be unable to “see” the source files which are definitely in the MXF/1 directory. The files look like this: Photos.V152ED37F2 and have an .MXF extension.

This is probably my fault as everything was working earlier today but I cannot see where I’m going wrong.

If I try to import the .AAF file it reports that the clip or clips were not found and invites me to search for it/them.

When you import the AAF and view it in the “edit” pane as an EDL, what does it show as REEL? Then look at your media pool (the MXF directory) and see if what is listed as REEL is the same. You may have to adjust or do an “ignore extension” when importing AAF.

My fault,- I changed the output in Avid away from DNxHD so Resolve couldn’t understand the format. Current problem is that although it now sees the image it can’t find the audio.. presumably another format issue..
