resolve 8 timeline feature good but not able to get it right
hi all we have upgraded our linux resolve to version 8 no issues but as i am not used to the multi timeline (only worked on 2kplus and brothers) i would love to have some help.actually i used to get a confirmed project and used to slice and do the grading and have used edls(single layer) for red and dpx data but i have a project coming my way and trying to figure out how to confirm.
i tried confirming xml but the layers seem to be there,the resolve dosent seem to recognize the dpx .
is there a way to import different edls for different layers and put it in the same timeline or is there other ways ??
i have gone through the manual but with no headway.it would be great if u guys could share Ur magic .

Hi Prathvish,
Do not import media when loading the XML (there is a checkbox for this), and add the DPX files to the media pool just as you would do for a EDL conform. Then all the matching is done based on reel number and timecode.

thanks for the reply rohit i dont know for some reason i dont seem to get it right .i dont know the xml is the culprit or i am doin something wrong with the alexa footage.prathvish
