I am ingesting some HD footage from HDCam into Mac Resolve. Is there a way to change the ingest render from dpx to uncompressed QT or 4444 Pro Res?

I know I can render the dpx myself but wouldnt mind the flexibility to adjust ingest file type.

    Thanks,

    Dave

Resolve only makes dpx on ingest.

You can use the free Media Express to injest into Quicktime format and then import into Resolve, all on the same machine.

I just check the manual and Media Expresss can injest in Quicktime ProRes, DVCPro and Uncompressed formats. I’m sure it can do others as well but this will fulfill your requirement and Media Express is a very good tool to have for video injest. And best of all, it’s free 🙂
