Resolve 12 Noise Reduction
Posted by Eric Klassen on August 14, 2015 at 8:51 pmIs the NR in Resolve 12 the same as in 11? In otherwords, do I need to use NeatVideo to de-noise properly, or can 12 handle that now?
Thanks,
EricEric Klassen

August 15, 2015 at 12:50 amNo changes in DNR or TNR in Resolve 12 that I can see. To me, one of the secrets of NR is to noise-reduce the noisiest color channels using a splitter/combiner, or try noise-reducing chroma-only or luma-only (depending on the issue). It’s also possible to just NR the blacks using keys, assuming those are the noisiest part of the signal.

Just buy the plugin and use it in Resolve.
DNR or TNR have limited use to me, but are a great tool to evaluate how much is needed.Resolve 11.3 – Smoke 2015 EXT1 – Sapphire 8
