An animation project cut in Avid (Tiff sequences imported) and resulting AAF does not conform. I put the master folder with all the tiff sequences into the library keeping the folder structure intact. If “Assist Reel Names” is off Resolve will link to clips, but wrong ones and list almost every clip as a possible match (all clips have the same TC), or any of the “Assist choices will result in no matches at all. It seems it’s not reading the file names. I could manually conform, choosing the correct shot from the offered choices. However, I need to export the graded project as DPX sequences with an AAF and EDL. After processing through Resolve, the new, resultant AAF or EDL has the same conform problems as the original footage, even though the graded DPX sequences have unique file name prefixes from Resolve.

Does anyone have any insights to Resolve and image sequence – this is the first time I’ve had to deal with this workflow?

    Thanks, Scott
