  • Resolve 10.1 Keyframing Single Node Power Window?

Posted by Matthew Rogers on February 28, 2014 at 4:52 pm

Hey guys, so I am having an issue figuring out how to keyframe a power window on a single node and not have it add key frames for all my other nodes. I am used to After Effects/FCP/etc. style of keyframing where you can select that layer/node/etc and keyframe just it. However, I can not figure out how to do it and can’t find a tutorial on how to.

Is there a tutorial I haven’t found or an easy way to explain how I can keyframe a power window on one node without it messing up a key framed power window on another node? Is this even possible?

    Thanks.

[Matthew Rogers] “how I can keyframe a power window on one node without it messing up a key framed power window on another node? Is this even possible?”

Yes it is… there is a disclosure arrow associated with each node in the lower right hand side keyframe window.
Right-Click will bring up a dialogue that enables you to add keyframes on the parameter you desire. You can lift, drag, delete them… static, dynamic, change state…

I think you have some confusion with terminology here?

Node is more like layer in AE and Power window is like effect or mask in AE.

So you can only animate one node or its properties (windows) at a time.

Special case would be if you have little A turned on for all the nodes you have
but that is not the case most likely.

Does this make more sense like this ?

there is a drop-down box at the keyframe editor: ALL/COLOR_/PTZR. if you select color,
the keyframes will only affect that node.

Thanks Andy, that’s exactly what I was looking for. It doesn’t make any sense why it labeled like that, but it works for me and that’s all that matters.
