I recently purchased SE and I’m thrilled with it! However, there’s one problem that has me perplexed: when I save my finished clips I notice a rather severe loss of picture quality. My view window is large enough when saving out, and I save the file the same size (300X200) as the original clip. I don’t know what else to change. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

The output codec you’re using when creating the AVI (or QuickTime movie if you’re on a Mac) is the problem. Choose a modern codec (like Divx, xvid, or Huffy UV) and you’ll have no problems. You can find all of these for free download — just do a web search.

    THANK YOU!
The HuffyUV codec seems to have solved the problem, and I can’t thank you enough for taking time to help me out. I’m sure I’ll be using this software a LOT, and it’s great to know there’s such a helpfull online community.
