    Hello.

I am working in FCP 6.0.6

Original footage is ProRes422, Shot on 7D and imported via Log and Transfer

By mistake – I put the ProRes 422 (1920×1080) footage into a Sequence set to HD (960×720) (16×9). Footage was resized to the sequence settings. I edited a 1 min sequence.

I would like to keep the edited sequence but re-zize everything back to full resolution (1920×1080). I know this is a bone-head mistake, but I cannot figure out how to correct it.

How do I keep the edits I made, but get the footage and sequence to full resolution?

I have tried a few things that did not work:

If I change the Sequence settings to the ProRes 422 (1929×1080) the sequence changes, but the footage does not change. It is still 960×720 and the area around it is black.

I created a new sequence with the correct settings, and I copy/pasted the 960×720 footage into the new sequence. This gave me the same result as before. 960×720 footage with a 1920×1080 black around it.

I tried exporting the EDL, importing EDL into a 1920×1080 sequence, and then recapturing the footage. I got the footage back to the right size, but all the In/Out points were wrong. Disaster.

Again, I know this is a bone-headed move by an ignorant operator. Please help me fix it?

    Steve

Copy and paste into a proper sequence, then select all video, right click and use “remove attributes,” check the “basic motion” and “distort” checkboxs, and hit okay.

If anyone knows an article or post that covers this can you please show me the link? I am sure many people have asked this question, but my search was unsuccessful.
