Resize layer border without resizing text and effects
Hello, I created little intro based on tutorial found on youtube. After creating it I realized that I made mistake. After making rotation lights are not going on whole screen but only to layer borders (yellow one). I’m wondering if there is a way to make those lights be visible on whole screen not only on layer or scale layer border without scalling text?

I’m not really sure how you have this set up, but try disabling the light effect from the pre-comp and then add it to a 2D adjustment layer in the main comp. This way the effect won’t be dependent on the view or the pre-comp size.

Thank you for response, unfortunately this method is also resizing text which I want to avoid.

I’m probably doing something wrong because doing your way effect is making whole screen black and with other blending mode it works on whole image not only on first text.
By the way it’s my first work in AE so please be patient with me.

I solved my poblem. Instead resizing layer I just took out text layer from pre-comp and put effect on it. Now I don’t have limited space.

I’m glad you solved your problem, but don’t neglect learning the basics. Knowing the fundamentals of AE will help you better understand projects like this and will also help you better articulate your questions in the future.
