Resize issues
I have some 1080 footage that i have made a chroma-key on to reveal a background tile (786 x 395) i want to output to these dimensions.
The problem I am having is the background has a slight fade from almost black to black, if i output full res then resize and trim in another app the background has really bad banding. I am trying to output to the correct dimensions straight out of FCP but cant seem to manage it.
Any ideas?

Banding is most easily fixed with a tiny bit of noise, try Joe’s filters.

Thanks for the reply Chris.
I will give this a go but with the amount of banding I’m getting I think i may get better results working on the output options. Do you know the best way for me to export at this resolution?
