    hello,

i have not opened illustrator in a while, and for the life of me i cant remember how to resize an object. I thought i could just select the object with the arrow tool, and then drag out from one of the boxes sourounding it. the problem is all of the boxes have solid black filled squares rather then the open boxes. I am not sure if i am forgetting something or if something is wrong, but all i can do when i try to resize the object is drag it around the page…..very frustrating. any help would be appreciated.

    thanks,

Hi. Just to clarify; is it that the transform box doesn’t appear when you are on the arrow tool thereby not allowing to scale or rotate. yes?
Solution: Go to your toolbar and click on the view tab. Go down to “show bounding box” . it should appear then.
