  • Resize a sequence without changing the distance between the objects

    Hi,
I created a sequence 1920×1080 with a lot of jpg elements (more than 100). Everyone of them has a simple movement with position keyframes. Now I need to enlarge the sequence to 4000×2250 (I need a wide zoom-out effect) but when i change the footage size all the objects maintain the original scale but they change their disposition into the sequence frame, positioning themselves to fill all the footage and changing the distances between each other. The same when I try to copy all the traces in a new sequence. Is there a way to enlarge the sequence without changing the position of the objects (keeping them in the portion of 1920×1080) without moving them manually one by one?
    Thank you very much

I post two screens to clarify the problem:

If you must stay in Premiere, just do whatever you need to do animation wise then create that larger sequence and place the HD one in for scaling.
I do agree with Dave that you’re in a very cumbersome app for that.

Also the issue you are having is the layers anchor point at the keyframe level.

If you have access to After Effects, you can use dynamic link to bring the original into AE, that way you have the same starting point rather than having to recreate the montage.

If you have no experience in AE, you’re better off finding someone who does. It’s not a particularly easy piece of software to learn from zero.
